My version of a modern action-movie trailer for the hit film "Akira"

Akira is arguably one of the most groundbreaking films - and not just in the category of anime damnit! - but of all time. The implementation of surreal imaginative elements strung along an all too familiar dystopic outlook on the future makes it hauntingly mesmerizing.

Surprisingly enough it was released in the late 80's, and as such the cinematic trailer for it reflects the style of the times - which I'm not saying is necessarily crap, but I never felt it did the film justice. There are a dozen fan-made trailers for Akira, some of them focusing on the avant-garde aspect of the film which is really well executed. My version is an attempt to invoke the heart-racing excitement of the modern action movie trailer.
